Obiettivi formativi
L’insegnamento, facente parte delle attività caratterizzanti il Corso di Studio, si propone di mettere le/gli studenti nella condizione di affrontare e produrre testi, orali e scritti, in lingua straniera tenendo conto della loro globale complessità, prestando dunque attenzione non solo agli aspetti grammaticali e situazionali, ma anche storico-culturali. L’insegnamento, inoltre, mira a promuovere la capacità di conseguire autonomamente nuove conoscenze e competenze necessarie all’acquisizione di una lingua straniera extra-europea, anche attraverso l'uso di corpora elettronici e lessici specialisti a stampa o in rete.
The course is part of the characterizing activities of the Degree Course. It aims to put students in a position to understand and produce oral and written texts in a foreign language, taking into account their overall complexity, thus paying attention not only to grammatical and situational aspects, but also to historical-cultural issues. The course also aims to promote the ability to independently achieve new knowledge and skills necessary for the acquisition of a non-European foreign language, for example through the use of electronic corpora and specialist lexicons in print or online.

- collocare la lingua hindi nel panorama linguistico dell'Asia meridionale e conoscere le principali fasi del suo sviluppo.

- Breve introduzione alla storia della lingua hindi e alla sua collocazione nel panorama linguistico del subcontinente indiano
- L’alfabeto nagri, lettura e scrittura, principi di fonetica.
- Le principali strutture grammaticali e sintattiche della lingua hindi e loro applicazione negli esercizi previsti in ogni lezione.

Gli studenti di altri corsi di laurea che seguono l’insegnamento come annualità unica per 9 cfu sono esentati dal programma indicato al punto 1.
- Brief introduction to the history of Hindi language and to its position in the linguistic landscape of the Indian subcontinent
- The nagri alphabet, reading and writing, principles of phonetics.
- The main grammatical and syntactical structures of the Hindi language.
- Reading, translation and linguistic analysis of a text (to study for the oral exam).
Students from other Programs that take the exam for 9 cfu don’t have to prepare point 1.

Modalità di insegnamento
Exercises are scheduled in the second semester, language conversations and homework assignments to be handed in during the course of classes. Attendance at the exercises is required for preparation for the written test.
72 ore complessive (12 CFU) di lezione in presenza. La frequenza in aula è vivamente consigliata per favorire la migliore interazione possibile con la docente e la classe.
Chi per ragioni di orario o altre limitazioni non può seguire le lezioni troverà del materiale disponibile sulla piattaforma Moodle, ma sarà inoltre necessario concordare il programma d’esame attraverso un colloquio individuale con la docente.Sono previste esercitazioni nel secondo semestre, conversazioni in lingua e compiti a casa da consegnare durante lo svolgimento delle lezioni. La frequenza alle esercitazioni è necessaria per la preparazione alla prova scritta.
Si raccomanda di consultare gli avvisi della pagina dell'insegnamento per eventuali variazioni e aggiornamenti.72 hours (12 CFU) of lessons / workshop activities. Classroom attendance is strongly recommended to allow students face to face interaction with the teacher and the other students. Live streaming broadcasts of lessons and classroom activities will be offered. Audio-video recordings of the lessons will not be provided.
Linguistic training classes are scheduled in the second semester, and homework assignments are to be handed in regularly. Attendance at the these classes is required in order to prepare for the final written test.
Class material will be made available on the Moodle platform for working students or students who cannot attend classes for serious reasons. In any case, these students must fix a program for non-attending students in an interview with the instructor.- Oggetto:
Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
La verifica dell’apprendimento comporterà una prova scritta (che non sarà verbalizzata) e un esame orale. Per sostenere l'esame orale sarà necessario aver superato l'esame scritto. La prova scritta comporterà esercizi di completamento o a scelta multipla, la traduzione di due frasi da hindi in italiano e di due frasi da italiano a hindi e una prova di composizione guidata.Il voto dello scritto sarà considerato valido per due anni, calcolati dalla data della prova, dopo di che se non si è superato l’orale si dovrà rifare anche l’esame scritto.
Durante l'esame orale, a partire dalla lettura e dalla traduzione del brano analizzato nelle lezioni, saranno valutate le capacità di lettura e di comprensione, nonché la conoscenza delle strutture grammaticali e sintattiche spiegate durante le lezioni. Una domanda riguarderà la parte di linguistica (punto 1 del programma d'esame).
Nella determinazione del voto finale si seguiranno i seguenti criteri:
- prova scritta 27-30 - votazione massima complessiva 30 e lode
- prova scritta 24-26 - votazione massima complessiva 30
- prova scritta 21-23 - votazione massima complessiva 28
- prova scritta 18-20 - votazione massima complessiva 26.
L'esame orale si può sostenere anche in hindi o in inglese
The exam consists of a written test and an oral examination. For the admission to the oral examination will be necessary to have passed the written test.
The written test will consist of grammatical exercises (cloze, multiple choice), the translation of two sentences from Hindi into Italian and two sentences from Italian into Hindi, and a brief composition (talking about oneself). Students who pass the written examination must pass the connected oral examination within two years from the date of the written test, or else they will have to take the written text again.
The oral exam will test reading and understanding abilities, as well as his knowledge of grammar and syntax.
One question will focus on linguistics (point 1 of the program).In determining the final grade these criteria will be followed:
- written test 27-30 - total grade max 30 cum laude
- written test 24-26 - total grade max 30
- written test 21-23 - total grade max 28
- written test 18-20 - total grade max 26.
The oral exam can be also taken in English or Hindi.

Le lezioni con la prof. Consolaro si svolgerano nel primo semestre, a fare inizio dal 18 settembre 2023. Le esercitazioni si svolgerano nel secondo semestre e fanno parte integrale dell'insegnamento. Il primo appello in cui si potrà sostenere l'esame sarà nella sessione estiva 2024.
Lectures with prof. Consolaro will take place in the first semester, beginning September 18, 2023. The language training classes will take place in the second semester and are an integral part of the teaching. The exam can be taken starting from the summer session 2024.
